Jack Tinnea was the principal investigator for the corrosion failure of the invert of a 92" diameter cooling water discharge pipe, Central Illinois Power, Coffeen, Illinois.

Tinnea & Associates provided expert witness regarding the failure of a concrete sewer-line for McDonald & Quackenbush for the City of Redmond, Washington.

Kerri Howell, P.E., our Principal Engineer, has extensive experience with the investigation of buried structures. The following listings are some of those projects.

Performed physical inspection and testing of sewer manholes and interceptors, sedimentation basins, as well as numerous underground tanks throughout California.

Project Engineer for the design of coatings and corrosion control for the expansion of the wastewater plant at Deer Island, part of the Boston Harbor Clean-up Project for Massachusetts Water Resource Authority.

Project manager for corrosion investigation and control projects at the wastewater plants in Gilroy and Sacramento Counties in California.

Has designed hundreds of cathodic protection systems for buried pipelines throughout California, including water, wastewater, reclaimed water, natural gas and petroleum.

Project manager for the investigation of the Hultman Aqueduct for the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority, as a subconsultant to Simpson, Gumpertz and Heger. The Aqueduct provides eighty percent of the potable water to the city of Boston.

Provided design of cathodic protection systems for dock facilities and pipelines for the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District facilities.

Provided standard testing procedures, plans, and specifications for the City of San Diego, CA Clean Water Program and the Deer Island Water Treatment Plant in Boston, MA.
