Visual Inspections
It is important to assess the building site prior to construction. We are experienced using vehicle-mounted inspection rigs, boats, floats, scuba and helmet divers and free climbing to obtain access by OSHA-approved means. When conducting an inspection on an existing structure, we typically note damage and indicate where samples are obtained on "As Built" drawings.
Non- Destructive Testing and Sample Collection
Pre-construction sampling and testing can identify potential corrosion problems, for example, corrosive agents in the underlying soil that will affect concrete slabs. We have a broad collection of equipment that is used to inspect structures including chemical test, physical test and sounding equipment.
Failure Analysis
It's necessary to define why the corrosion occurred for cost effective problem solving. Analysis is the first step in finding a solution.
Condition Reports
Condition reports provide the owner with a current structure evaluation. Tinnea & Associates has extensive skills that include preparing condition reports in text, drawing, photo, and video formats. Often we will also provide the owner with estimates of future deterioration and cost estimates that relate to delaying or deferring corrosion control measures. |
