Aquariums Sensitivity to Wildlife
Aquariums by nature present a unique set of challenges. Conditions and/or materials necessary to install corrosion protection could be fatal to exhibit wildlife. Tinnea & Associates is skilled in the successful control of concrete reinforcement corrosion in a variety of wildlife exhibits.

Maintain Public Access
Continual access to exhibits is often a criteria in a public facility. We are accustomed to providing safe access to the public while meeting the client's schedule timeline.

Display Material Selection
In zoological exhibitry, material selection also requires attention to any impact those materials might have on the exhibits' plant and animal life. Conversely, the exhibitry may impact a material's performance. For example, marine growth on the surface of some stainless steels may cause pitting.

Reinforced Concrete
The corrosion of steel reinforced concrete can be a problem. The spalls and cracks degrade asthetics and can present safety issues. Tinnea & Associates has often found localized full-section corrosion failure at construction joints and hairline cracks. Failure of this type is typically not identified through traditional sounding techniques. We have a field-proven approach to identify localized corrosion.

Piping and Life Support
Piping and life support equipment often have problems with corrosion. For example, many stainless steels are at a corrosion risk in stagnant (low oxygen) chloride-bearing water. We will help you resolve each unique situation.
